Due to active western disturbance, sunlight is proving ineffective during the day. The cold wind is shivering. The minimum temperature is being recorded around five degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert predicting cold wave and dense fog for the next two days.

The sun came out on Thursday, but was ineffective. After five o’clock in the evening the cold wind again started making one feel melting. The maximum temperature increased by one degree to 21.7 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the minimum mercury was recorded at 5.2 degrees Celsius, which stood second in the state. Temperatures lower than this were recorded in Fursatganj and Etawah.

According to meteorologist Atul Kumar, due to increased activity of western disturbance, cold air will enter the city for the next two days. Due to cold wave and dense fog, the temperature is also expected to drop by two to three degrees Celsius. People have been suggested to make arrangements to protect themselves from cold.
